Habitat Creation

We specialize in habitat creation, such as meadows, wetlands, woodlands and wildlife gardens and incorporate organic principles and sustainable product sourcing. This service will be of interest to amateur naturalists, community habitat creation schemes, local authority projects and designs requiring planning permission in areas such as national parks.

Garden Design

We have nearly thirty years of experience designing gardens. From extreme coastal locations, sloping gardens, cliff top gardens to beautiful urban front and back gardens, we have worked with a diverse range of sites over the years. We produce landscaping plans and specifications as well as planting plans, and concept drawings. Please note we are not landscapers and a separate contractor will be needed to implement the designs.

Show Gardens

We have designed and created two show gardens at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and also one at the RHS Flower Show Cardiff. A show garden is a great way to promote an organisation, charity or business, and we would be happy to talk to you about designing and implementing a show garden at any of the RHS flower shows.

Nature Friendly Garden Design, Pembrokeshire, West Wales

We create innovative garden designs and planting schemes and in consultation with our clients, produce practical and maintainable gardens of beauty. We also work with schools and community groups developing school grounds and community gardens because nature should be accessible to all.

Shani Lawrence Garden Designs was established in 1997 and was awarded a gold medal and the Best Small Garden in Show Award at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show in 2001 as well as a bronze medal in the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show in 2000. Also, more recently we were awarded a silver gilt medal at the RHS Cardiff Flower Show in 2015 for our innovative low carbon wildlife garden.
